My son (Brad) and I have always been "car nuts" which has created common ground for us to become the best of friends. Brad, who holds a black belt in karate and advanced scuba certification, is now disabled as a result of treatment for leukemia about three years ago. He continues to slowly improve, but whether he will ever be able to drive again is still unknown. As my wife and I wrestle with medical expenses, Corvettes have become a dream at this point in time. Brad's dream is to own a C-5 Corvette because it is one of the only Corvettes that is accesssible to him with his current physical limitations. Brad never had an opportunity to ride in a C-5 until John Fauley's gracious and unexpected offer. For Brad, it was a dream come true and he remembers it as the ride of his life! He talks about it every day and constantly teases me that I was left on the curb!
