1996 was the last year of the venerable C4 (fourth generation) Corvette body style and incorporated the most refined engineering available. To celebrate the occasion, Corvette engineers developed the one-year-only LT4 engine. Available only with a six speed manual transmission, it generated a conservative 330 HP which provided a very noticeable increase in performance over the base LT1 engine. It has been said that "All Corvettes are Red" and if so, this Corvette meets that objective in spades!
